Self-Guided Learning™ courses combine two independent components:
You do not attend a scheduled classroom event. There is no instructor present during either component. Instead, you drive the entire process—study when it works for you, then walk into the Woodland office at 725 Main Street to complete your skills session independently.
Upon successful completion of both components, you receive an American Heart Association® Course Completion eCard for BLS, ACLS, or PALS.

The self-guided skills session takes place at the CPR Verification Station™ learning center inside the Safety Training Seminars Woodland office. You complete all required psychomotor skills independently.
There is no live instructor coaching or facilitation during this session. The CPR Verification Station learning center measures your performance against AHA-defined criteria and provides real-time, objective performance feedback. You can practice and repeat each skills activity as many times as needed before submitting a passing score.

The HeartCode® Complete Self-Guided Learning course for BLS prepares nurses, dentists, EMTs, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to respond to cardiac arrest and breathing emergencies in adults, children, and infants.
The HeartCode® Complete Self-Guided Learning course for ACLS covers advanced cardiac arrest management, post-cardiac arrest care, stroke recognition, and advanced airway management.
The HeartCode® Complete Self-Guided Learning course for PALS prepares providers to manage respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiac arrest in pediatric patients.
